Vice mayor Chen Zhiliang met with the delegation of ICL Group headed by Li Min, VP Phosphate Specialty Asia of ICL, on December 1.
At the meeting, Chen Zhiliang briefed the delegation on Changzhou as a historic and modern city embracing rapid technological development. He noted that the China-Israel Changzhou Innovation Park (CICP) – the first demonstration innovation park jointly built by the Chinese and Israeli governments – is now a landmark for Sino-Israeli cooperation.
Marking CICP’s role as an international platform accessing Israel’s top-notch technologies and Changzhou’s excellent business environment and government services, Chen invited ICL Group to launch a production center in Changzhou and explore more opportunities for win-win cooperation.
ICL Group, formerly known as Israel Chemicals Ltd., is a leading global specialty minerals company. The company creates impactful solutions for sustainability challenges in global food, agriculture, and industrial markets. With more than 12,000 employees worldwide, its 2020 revenues totaled approximately 5.0 billion US dollars.
Impressed with Changzhou’s manufacturing industry and business environment, Li Min stated that ICL Group plans to increase investment and create additional capacity in China. He looked forward to furthering exchanges and cooperation with Changzhou in relevant sectors.
