The 2022 China-Israel Matchmaking Forum on Sci-Tech Cooperation was successfully held in the China-Israel Changzhou Innovation Park (CICP) on the afternoon of April 28.
With a focus on life sciences, the forum took place both online and offline, facilitating the exchange and cooperation on innovation resources between the two countries.
Jiang Pengju, deputy mayor of Changzhou, attended the event virtually and gave a keynote speech.
At the forum, four Israeli enterprises in life science made online demos. Trendlines, a renowned incubator from Israel, also made promotions online. More than 50 Chinese companies, including Flon Holdings and Waston Medical, participated in the event.
The forum also witnessed two signing ceremonies. The Jiangsu Chamber of International Commerce and the Israel Chamber of Commerce in China (IsCham) signed an MOU to enhance exchange and communication on innovation resources. The CICP signed cooperation agreements with three Israeli offshore incubation projects. As a preparatory phase for relevant businesses, the corresponding enterprises will set up their offices in Israel-Jiangsu Innovation Center.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of China-Israel diplomatic relations. Going forward, Changzhou will, based on the platform of CICP, continuously improve its business environment to help more Israeli companies succeed in the Chinese market. In particular, the city will provide tailored services for innovative businesses and idea generators from Israel to promote more achievements through innovation-driven cooperation.
Data showed that over 160,000 people tuned in to the live-streamed forum.
