Changzhou marked a significant milestone in international collaboration for intelligent manufacturing with the launch of the Sino-German Technology Empowerment Platform. The unveiling took place on November 15 during the China-German Technology Innovation and Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Matchmaking Conference at Changzhou Science & Education Town. This event brought together experts and industry leaders to discuss advancements in smart manufacturing and explore new opportunities for global partnerships.
The platform is a collaborative effort between the Intelligent Manufacturing Longcheng Laboratory and Fraunhofer IOSB Base. By integrating resources from both entities, it leverages Fraunhofer IOSB’s globally recognized expertise and the Longcheng Laboratory’s industrial research capabilities. The initiative aims to foster innovation through joint research, technology transfers, and shared intellectual property, creating a cross-regional collaboration model for high-quality development in intelligent manufacturing.
Professor Dr. Thomas Rauschenbach, Director of Fraunhofer IOSB, emphasized the significance of the partnership, highlighting plans for deeper collaboration with the Longcheng Laboratory. He noted that advanced technologies could significantly enhance Changzhou’s smart manufacturing capabilities, driving transformative growth in the industry.
The conference also featured presentations by leading research institutions and enterprises, including Phoenix (China) Investment Co., Ltd., Hainbuch Shanghai Co., Ltd., and Germany’s Schaeffler Group. These organizations showcased groundbreaking innovations and shared strategies for accelerating industrial progress.
With the establishment of the Sino-German Technology Empowerment Platform, Changzhou is positioning itself as a global hub for industrial innovation, paving the way for a new era of smart manufacturing excellence.
