On March 24, a conference held jointly by China’s National Health Commission (NHC) and Israel’s Ministry of Health (MOH) convened online to discuss cooperation on health innovation.
Attendees include Irit Ben-Abba Vitale, Israeli ambassador to China, Li Mingzhu, specialist of NHC's Department of International Cooperation, Edward Shapira, consul general of Israel in Shanghai, and Hagai Dror, managing director of Healthcare Israel (HCI).
Under the framework set up by the fifth meeting of the China-Israel Joint Committee on Innovation Cooperation (JCIC), the event aims to promote the implementation of key projects in healthcare.
One of the projects — which focuses on digital health technologies — is undertaken by the China-Isreal Changzhou Innovation Park (CICP), the Changzhou Municipal Health Commission, and the HCI. At the meeting, representatives of CICP elaborated on the progress of this project to the participants.
In the next step, CICP will, under the guidance of the Municipal Health Commission, continue to push forward health innovation through collaboration with HCI. All parties involved will draw upon the experience of previous programs and introduce disruptive technologies and expertise from Israel to Changzhou. In this way, the bilateral cooperation will yield more fruits, improving the quality of local health services to a higher level.
