Recently, it was learned from the statistics authority that in the first half of 2016, total exports of photovoltaic (PV) products shipped from Changzhou Port reached 8,081 TEUs, an increase of 23.94%.
Among them, 4,854 TEUs were shipped to the United States, accounting for 60.07%; 330 TEUs were shipped to the EU, accounting for 4.08%; and 2,897 TEUs were shipped to the emerging markets in Asia, Australia, Africa, and so on, accounting for 35.85%.
So far, Changzhou’s PV companies have not yet stepped out of the influence of the anti-dumping and countervailing duties imposed by the United States and Europe. Although we have made some achievement in exploring the emerging markets in Asia, Australia and Africa, yet the traditional US and European markets are shrinking. In particular, the US market, in the case of substantial growth in the first quarter, fell by 33.77%, 29.63% and 11.53% respectively in April, May and June compared to the same period last year.
