On the afternoon of January 17, the 2022 Jiangsu-Israel video conference on innovation cooperation took place in the CICP. Joining the conference were Avi Luvton, acting vice president of the IIA (Israel Innovation Authority) International Collaboration Division, Ifat.Oz-Sinai, project manager for Asia-Pacific region and emerging markets, Zhao Yangwei, chief of International Cooperation Division at the Provincial Department of Science and Technology and the deputy division chief Guo Hong. Attendees from Changzhou included Lu Wei, deputy director of the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, and deputy district mayors of Wujin District - Xu Jun and Wang Dong.
At the meeting, participants mainly discussed how to ramp up innovation cooperation between Jiangsu and Israel in 2022, a year that marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Through in-depth discussions, working arrangements were made for the year ahead, with a focus on such key issues as the development of the CICP and R&D cooperation plans between industries in Jiangsu and Israel.
Zhao Yangwei and Avi Luvton exchanged their thoughts on how to promote the R&D cooperation plans. The two sides stand ready to enhance collaboration in the year ahead and yield more fruits through innovation.
On behalf of the CICP, Deputy District Mayor Xu Jun made a themed report on the major achievements of the CICP in the past year and its working plans for 2022. Speaking highly of the progress, Mr. Luvton said the IIA would continue to lend its support to the CICP. It is his hope that the CICP, as a platform for innovative projects, will further implement the CICP Initiative to offer more varieties of professional services. In this way, more Israeli companies will come to, and thrive in China.
