On January 12, a package of some 50 books for learning Chinese and teaching aids like pinyin flash cards donated by the Foreign Affairs Office of Changzhou Municipal People’s Government arrived in Lanus, Argentina, an international friendship city of Changzhou.
Professor Marcelo F. Sanoner, director of the 2030 Strategic Planning Coordination Bureau of Lanus, sent a letter to the Foreign Affairs Office, mentioning that the mayor of Lanus highly appreciated Changzhou’s donation, which will be of great help to the city’s first Chinese Language School, and represents a good start of the cooperation between the two sides.
It is learned that the Chinese Language School of Lanus will be officially established and open in March as planned. In 2019, Changzhou sent a delegation to Lanus, where a memorandum of understanding to extend cooperation in culture and education was signed between the two sides.
