The Changzhou-Shanghai Economic and Trade Week 2021 kicked off on April 11. A delegation headed by Chen Jinhu, deputy secretary of CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee and mayor of Changzhou Municipal People’s Government, visited Shanghai to explore new opportunities for win-win cooperation between the two cities.
On the afternoon of April 11, Chen Jinhu visited JD Intelligent Industry Development Group to promote the official signing of the JD-Zhonglou intelligent industry cooperation project. The group plans to invest a total of 10 billion yuan in the city’s Zhonglou district. The two sides will work together to build a southern Jiangsu center for regional e-commerce logistics, operation and transaction settlement, and a Yangtze River Delta (YRD) intelligent manufacturing R&D center.
Changzhou aims at becoming a start city of intelligent manufacturing in the hinterland of YRD, while JD.com is a technology-driven company focusing on building a smart logistics system for the future, said Chen Jinhu in the meeting with JD.com’s vice president Hu Wei.
Chen stated that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Changzhou will enhance its role as a transport hub in the YRD through the development of low-carbon smart mobility and green logistics.
The governments of Changzhou at all levels will bolster the city’s business environment to help promote the JD-Zhonglou project, he added.
