The Ministry of Science and Technology recently unveiled the 2021 list of national-level high-tech incubators. Three professional incubators from Changzhou are on the list. They are the Incubator of Sino-Europe (Changzhou) Testing, Inspection and Certification International Cooperation Industrial Park (SEICP), the Jiangsu Rail Transportation Incubator, and the Service Center for Medical Device Startups in Changzhou.
The SEICP in Tianning district currently has 33 startup businesses in its incubator, 12 of which own intellectual properties. So far, SEICP has incubated a total of 18 companies, with its third-phase construction project accelerated to be ready for use in 2023.
The Jiangsu Rail Transportation Incubator—seated in the Changzhou Economic Development Zone—is run by Changzhou Shiduobei Technology Co., Ltd. In addition to 19 third-party agencies providing professional services, there are also 12 experts from different sectors and a team of mentors to help startups succeed. Currently supporting 43 startups, the incubator has nurtured 22 businesses, including two high-tech companies.
The Service Center for Medical Device Startups in Changzhou is operated by Changzhou Medical Instrument Institute Co., Ltd. Located in the West Taihu Lake Sci-Tech Industrial Park, the incubator provides package services such as access to funding, technical assistance, technology commercialization, marketing assistance, education, training, and access to international partners. Currently supporting 38 startups, the incubator has nurtured 20 companies so far.
