Changzhou's eight paid scenic spots at or above level 4A received 340,200 visits during the three-day Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, according to the Changzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism.
The tourism revenue of these scenic spots soared to 43.9404 million yuan during the holiday, recovering to 66.39 percent of the 2019 level.
The city’s three 5A-level attractions, namely the Universal Dinosaur Town, the Tianmu Lake Resort and the Spring & Autumn Yancheng Scenic Area, altogether received 286,500 visits, reaching close to the 2019 level.
Changzhou’s five national or provincial-level resorts attracted 356,000 tourists, generating 64.8709 million yuan in tourism revenue.
More than 130,000 tourists traveled to the countryside during the Mid-Autumn Festival, with the total revenue reaching 19.5875 million yuan.
The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, fell on September 21 this year. It is usually marked by family reunions, enjoying sights of the full moon, and eating mooncakes.
