President Xi Jinping declared the 14th National Games open in northwest China's Shaanxi Province on September 15.
Under the theme of "Games for all, together in mind and action", the 14th National Games features a total of 54 sports and 595 events in a span of three months, of which 35 sports and 410 events are set for elite athletes, while the rest are for the grassroots.
A total of 164 Changzhou players, among the 1,603 athletes representing Jiangsu province, will compete in the finals of 23 sports and74 events.
U18 football, U20 men's football, men's volleyball, women's basketball events among others have finished their games before the opening ceremony.
Changzhou athletes have already bagged seven gold medals before the opening ceremony.
Chen Daxiang clinched the gold medal in athletics men's 81kg boxing.
Zhao Shuai, the country's first-ever Taekwondo Olympic gold medalist, will compete in the final of men's taekwondo-68kg category.
