Recently, it was learned from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) that five enterprises of Changzhou -- Shangshang Cable, Huapeng Transformer, Wujin Stainless, Changzhou Almaden and Wanbang Dehe New Energy Technology -- have been selected to the fifth annual list of China’s National Manufacturing Champions.
The selection of the enterprises is organized jointly by the MIIT and the China Federation of Industrial Economics (CFIE) and is part of an initiative under the Made in China 2025 strategic plan of the Chinese government that aims to complete the enhancement of 200 Manufacturing Champion enterprises in various market segments by 2020.
Since MIIT’s announcement of the first list in 2016, a total of 18 Changzhou-based enterprises have been recognized as national manufacturing champions in their respective fields.
Going forward, the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology will continuously provide the selected enterprises with targeted services to help them stay competitive and keep growing in their respective markets.
