On April 20, the first flight between Changzhou and Ankang arrived at Changzhou Benniu International Airport (ZSCG) at 11:05 am from Ankang Fuqiang Airport (ZLAK). This new route is operated by Spring Airlines Co., Ltd., running every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Located in the southeast of Shaanxi province, Ankang neighbors Xi'an to the north, and shares boundaries with Hubei province to the east and Sichuan province to the south.
Changzhou and Ankang were paired up in 1996 for poverty alleviation. Previously it would take a whole day to get to Ankang either by train or by plane. Now traveling from Changzhou to Ankang only takes around two hours with the launch of the non-stop flight between the two cities.
Starting from April 18, regular non-stop flights between Changzhou and Yichang, Hubei have been resumed, running every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
