To halt the spread of COVID-19 and protect our residents amid a rising wave of local infections, Changzhou will step up social restrictions as follows:
1. Residents are advised not to leave Changzhou unless necessary. Avoid going out, visiting others, or attending gatherings. Cooperate with epidemic prevention management such as wearing masks properly, maintaining good health habits, and taking nucleic acid tests as scheduled. Businesses are encouraged to work from home, if possible, as Omicron spreads through the community.
2. Metro and bus schedules will be adjusted according to COVID-19 dynamics and risk assessments by the local anti-epidemic authority. Residents are advised to reduce trips via public transport. Passengers and commuters in public vehicles should keep their masks on and take temperature and health code checks.
3. Operators of catering businesses should implement relevant requirements such as limiting the number of visitors and business hours, physical distancing, and other protection measures. Food businesses are advised to restrict indoor dining.
4. Based on the Notice 12 issued on March 13th, Changzhou has temporarily closed indoor recreational and entertainment businesses, including performing arts venues, Internet cafes, theaters, art galleries, museums, memorial halls, cultural centers, libraries, indoor venues in parks, gyms, public bathrooms, saunas, SPA clubs, yoga studios, beauty salons, shops providing pedicure, ear picking, acupuncture, moxibustion or massage services, bars, KTVs, indoor singing and dancing venues, indoor sports venues, indoor swimming pools, and places for playing poker cards, mahjong, board games, murder mystery, escape room, and other interactive games.
5. Residential areas should ensure protection measures such as requiring people entering the area to wear a mask and go through mandatory temperature and health code checks. Contactless delivery should be implemented for takeaway services, packages, and mails.
6. Lockdown areas are under strict access control, where residents are required to practice home isolation, supported with door-to-door service. Areas under epidemic control management implement “entrance only, no exit” restrictions, where any sorts of gatherings are prohibited.
7. Local departments should enhance support for people living in difficulty, such as elderly people unable to feed themselves or living alone, rural left-behind seniors and children, among other vulnerable groups in need, with targeted assistance and care services to follow. Emergency medical care should be ready in case of injury or illness that might require immediate medical attention.
8. Those who have traveled to high- and medium-risk regions where confirmed cases have been reported within 14 days should take a nucleic acid test at the closest testing facility and stay home until a negative test result is obtained.
9. Please abide by relevant laws and regulations. Do not listen to, spread, or create rumors concerning the coronavirus outbreak. Those who conceal, falsify or misrepresent related information, thus hindering the progress of epidemic prevention and control or causing other severe consequences, will be investigated by public security authority for legal responsibility.
This Notice comes into effect from the date of promulgation.
