On November 12, the four-day exhibition for Ishikawa prefecture’s Chinese friendship cities opened at Kanazawa City Hall.
Ishikawa prefecture is in the central Chubu region of the main Japanese island Honshu.
Liyang, Changzhou established a sister-city relationship with Ishikawa in 1995. Over the years, the two sides have maintained close exchanges in education, sports, culture, trade, and many other fields.
This year marks the 26th anniversary of the friendship between Liyang and Ishikawa. At the exhibition in Ishikawa, Liyang displayed its specialties like white tea and embroidery works and the souvenirs kept from the day of the establishment of friendship between the two sides.
The exhibition was jointly hosted by the Japan-China Friendship Association of Ishikawa and the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. It is part of the series of activities to mark the 50th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan.
