Liyang holds Tea Festival and Tourism Festival on April 28

Liyang will hold the 14th China (Liyang) Tea Festival and the 12th Tianmu Lake Tourism Festival on April 28th. Both of the festivals will last one month.

The organizing committee will invite national and provincial tea and tourism industry associations as the sponsors, and top-class professional planning agencies as the organizers. During the two festivals,a series of events will be held, including contracts signing ceremony, projects inauguration ceremony, industrial promotion seminar, sister city activities, culture and art week, tea-tasting activity, tea picking festival, outdoor carnival, etc.

Besides, Liyang Publicity Department opened the festival theme contest throughout the country via media in the beginning of this year. As of February 23rd ,the organizing committee had received more than 600 theme entries from 22 provinces, cities and autonomous regions. The first, second and third prizes as well as honorable mentions will be selected through preliminary assessment, reassessment and public voting.

It is learned that Liyang has held 13 tea festivals since 1991 and 11 Tianmu Lake Tourism Festivals since 2005.
